It's such a wonderful thing for energy limited and brain fog having folks - I can listen to things a lot more often than I can read blocks of text. I have so many juicy Substacks filed away to read some day when I have the brain for it, but the audio option is primo and a nice way to personalise it all too. Oh yeahhh!
Your description of your 8yo (I can only aspire!) and your transcribed conversation with Jess touched my heart. This post is now one of my 'juicy things of late'. Thank you.
This was the perfect article to read from my crash couch! I, too, have days where I imagine I can simply Not Be Ill Anymore, Shut Up Chest Pain Warning Sign. Happy birthday to big bright one xx
I welled up at the depiction of Autistic Love. Like this: 🥹
I will be returning to this article for sure.
Internalised ableism will getcha.
I am proud of myself because i hit my limit on a date day this arvo at a point when we couldn’t go home for another 2 hrs. Instead of fouling the rest of the day i was able to verbalise that i had hit a wall, decide that i needed to take my leggings (digging into my waist) off and brave the April weather in shorts. I asked my love what he could do to help me. He said the beautiful grounds of werribee mansion (where we had just arrived) would be healing. I was skeptical but he was right. We strolled, we rested when needed, the date day was a success.
OMG verbalising stuff is SO HARD. Well done for getting your words out in those tricky circumstances. I always just try to psychically communicate which weirdly never works? Why does nobody understand the screaming eyeballs (lol). xox
I loved that I could listen to this read by you! That was such a nice touch
That’s access, babeeeee!~
*immediately records my next post myself*

Stay safe in the Bubble. I wish everyone was in your bubble of love. xox
I feel like it’s the big bubble from the Wizard of Oz that the good witch arrives in!
